Works as expected - satisfied.

For Serial 8-digit 7-segment LED display (Yellow)

Ordered from tinde on-line and all arrived in a couple of days.
Purchased LED units 2 in green and 2 in yellow. Both types operated with no issues.
Noted that when these are placed next to the green identical units that the yellow is much brighter.
Can adjust with the intensity command as desired.
Using an Ardunio Mega via a serial link.
No documentation is supplied (one star) - not an issue.

In addition to making the EXP-01 breadboard compatible, the pin labels are very easy to read. So, no more looking back at documentation just to connect to GPIO or flash firmware. The power supply filter capacitor is nice to have as well. No documentation needed

Works perfectly for breadboard prototyping

For ESP8266 breadboard adapter

I've used a few of these to connect the ESP8266 to Arduino for super reliable communication. With the recent Arduino IDE compatibility, I've started making 3V native sensors using the ESP8266, this adapter, and DHT22s to log temp and humidity throughout my house. This just works great.

Flat out awesome, great support

For Serial 8-digit 7-segment LED display (Green,0.56")

I bought 5 displays and absolutely love them. They're very easy to use and look great. The seller was great to work with and supremely helpful in resolving issues. One of my displays was mounted at a slight angle and he fixed it for me. I also requested one of the dual-row displays in a color which wasn't listed and he was happy to accommodate. The only negative thing I have to say is that the double row display is a slightly different color than the rest due to lot differences in the display modules — not something that will impact most orders, but something to be aware of if you are ordering custom items.

Works well

For Easy pulse sensor based on photoplethysmography

I added an external "threshold" potentiometer in parallel with the on-board potentiometer, so I could have the entire board enclosed and a large knob to set the cutoff.

One problem, though: the fingertip sensor makes my fingertip go numb after 10 minutes. I am running experiments which can last up to an hour, and for which I need both hands, so I need a sensor which can (for example) be attached with a velcro strap around the wrist. Is there a way to use the TCRT1000 reflective optical sensor, which is used in version 1 of the board? Do I need to get that version of the board in order to use the reflective sensor?

The standard version of the ESP8266 is difficult to use with a Breadboard. This adapter makes the ESP8266 easy to use and it worked first time - what more can you ask?

Great for prototyping

I bought two of these and use them both all the time. They're compact, simple. Having the bypass cap is good, and having the pinout silkscreen visible is the best feature.

Makes working with the ESP8266 easy and simple!

For ESP8266 breadboard adapter

The ESP8266 is just not breadboard friendly, forcing you to use female-to-male jumper wires for prototyping. This adapter solves that problem easily and neatly, and labels the pins so you don't have to double-check your wiring. It also allows the ESP8266 to hang off the end of the breadboard, giving you just a bit more room to work. And at $2.99 it's affordable given much of the popularity of the ESP8266 is because it provides serial-to-WiFi for such a low price (typically $5-$8).

Be advised that you can insert the ESP8266 into the adapter the wrong way around, so pause to confirm you can see the pins and pin labels on the adapter before applying power so you're sure you have the ESP8266 properly in place.

Easy

For Double row 4-digit seven segment LED display-BLUE

I agree with Greg. With LedControl library I got it running in first try.
I am using this display in my heater_control project. I read several temperatures and alternate them in upper row. Electricity consumption, date and time are alternating in lower row. My project is still ongoing, it will have more measured streams while I proceed.

Confusing product picture

For LED display module (PCB only)

Pretty disappointed to find out I only purchased the actual board here. I do see now with the benefit of hindsight that it says PCB only, but the main photo was a display of exactly what I was looking for, which included the seven segment displays themselves, so perhaps I got overly excited. The board itself I'm sure is fine, but the way it was sold to me was confusing. Sigh.

I am sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your purchase. If you want I can still refund you for that. And regarding the confusing part, it is clearly mentioned in the title (PCB only), in the first paragraph ("This listing is for the PCB of the"), in Features section with bold letters ("Note that you will receive PCB only. You will need following items for completing the board"), and also provides you options for the assembled boards at the end of the description. So it would not have happened if you have read carefully what you are buying. I have no intention to confuse the buyers. The picture of the assembled board is there for reference to let the buyers know how the assembled product would look like. But I have taken your suggestion and changed the main picture to one that shows only PCB to avoid this from happening again.

I am not sure why would you give low rating for Communication and Shipping. You never tried to contact me about the issue or anything. And I shipped your order on the same day (Jan 22, 2015) and it was delivered to you in only 3 business days (Jan 26, 2015) including the day you placed the order. What better would you expect for the standard ground shipping?

Great helper!

For ESP8266 breadboard adapter

Simple breadboard helper, but very useful! Makes life easier when trying to plug one of these modules into a breadboard - no need for extension wires to connect it to the breadboard so it doesn't short. Also, all the pins are labelled making wiring much easier!

The breakout pins make it very easy to integrate

For Si7005 temperature, humidity sensor breakout board

I previously bought the Si7005 without the breakout board from another seller, not realizing how tiny the through holes were. I ended up burning the sensor and lifting the pads, trying to solder it. It was a complete waste of money and time.

The fact that this sensor is on a breakout board makes it so much easier to integrate. For the doc however, you'll have to look elsewhere as the seller doesn't provide any.

I'm now trying to understand why when reading any address in the sensor I am only getting 0x00 back.

Perfect power supply for my Arduino Travel Kit

I've put together a portable selection of Arduino prototyping components, shields, jumpers, and tools so I can spend time working on my Arduino projects and skills wherever I may be. I've had a lot of fun using it on a variety of trips in the US, Europe and Asia and the one thing I was missing was a compact power supply that could provide both 5V and 3.3V. This board is just perfect for that and is exactly what I've been looking for (but haven't found anywhere else). I like the small size, the fact that it runs off a 9V battery, and that the connectors are screw-in for easy setup and reliable use. Great price too.

Best breadboard power supply I've found anywhere

For Dual output (5.0V/3.3V) breadboard power supply

I have a variety of breadboard power supplies that get used on nearly every one of my projects at some point. While several of them provide both 5V and 3.3V you have to chose one or the other so can only have either 5V or 3.3V for your project. For projects that need/use both voltages, having to mix power sourcing from a breadboard supply and an Arduino is inconvenient. I couldn't understand why someone didn't make a true dual voltage supply and so was delighted to find this product.

I like the that the board fits directly into the breadboard rails, and that you can select 3.3V or 5V independently for each rail. It's also important that + and - are marked clearly on their board as not every breadboard has the same arrangement of positive/negative rail markings -- some are exactly opposite others, so it needs to be easy to confirm that you have +/- wired properly.

Including both a 2.1mm DC jack and a mini-USB connector as external supply collections is an excellent feature, as is the inclusion of a 9V battery connector with the board.

I do wish an on/off switch was built in so I could leave everything wired up on my workbench and just flip the supply off. Perhaps that'll get added in a future version.

Overall this is now my favorite breadboard power supply, and one that gets used all the time.

A good product.

I am satisfied with the Easy Pulse Sensor. It's a fine product, and professionally made. The seller is fastidious about customer relations and product satisfaction. He goes the extra mile. If a customer has a problem relating to adjustment, or instruction on how to optimize the product's function, as I did mainly due to my own lack of electrical knowledge, the seller is quick to respond with good, effective answers. My money was well spent and there wasn't so much involved.

Good performance in heartbeat irregularity monitor

For Easy pulse sensor based on photoplethysmography

I've used the Easy Pulse sensor with an Arduino Nano and Processing to build a heartbeat irregularity monitor that measures and displays the heartbeat inter-beat interval (IBI) and allows rapid audio playback of the heart rhythm for a captured sequence of beats. This information helps quantify the degree of irregularity of an arrhythmic heart and can be useful in investigating the effects of diet, medication, exercise, and other factors. The system works well and details of construction and code sketches for the Arduino and Processing are available at http://www.potomacmeso.com/heart-rhythm-monitor.html.

I found that the USB-derived 5V power source on the Nano has too much noise to allow the Easy Pulse to operate properly. I solved this problem by running the Nano 5V through a 3.3V linear regulator and operating the Easy Pulse at the reduced voltage. The sensor is affected by hand motion, finger temperature, etc., but it provides a very good price/performance value. I'm attaching a photo of the IBI display in Processing for the case of an irregular heartbeat. A normal heartbeat typically has all IBI values nearly equal. Review Image

Hi Paul,
Thank you for taking time to post the review. I agree the USB-derived 5V power supply gives noisy PPG outputs in some PCs. It might be because the USB port does not provide sufficient current for the IR LED and instrumentation on boad. That's why I have recommended to use an external 5V power supply in the User's Manual.

Great product!

The delivery to Australia was a little slow, but i am very happy with the displays they are clear and with the correct gel used the contrast ratio is fantastic.
