What is it?

It's a tiny coin-size pedestrian safety light with multi-light modes, which can be powered via micro USB or stitch it with conductive threads to your closes or backpack and connect a 3,7 Lipo battery to it. Due to its small size 20mmx20mm and lightweight, it can be used as a safety light for dogs i.e. if you go for a walk with your dog in the evening.

Why did you make it?

To use it as a light on my backpack, so car/bicycle drivers can recognize that someone is walking along the road in the darkness, in areas without a pedestrian path.

What makes it special?

Is has an RGB LED and an ATTINY85 microcontroller that controls the LED light and enables multiple modes. The Badge has 2 Buttons, by holding the left button and pressing the right button you can switch between different modes:

• 1: Rainbow mode
• 2: Strobe mode
• 3: SOS morse mode
• 4: White Flashlight mode
• 5: Red light mode
• 6: Green light mode
• 7: Blue light mode
• 8: Pink light mode
• 9: Yellow light mode
• 10: Cyan/Aqua light mode

The buttons can be also used to increase and decrease the brightness of the RGBW LED.

The input power should not be higher than 5V, you can use 3 AA batteries or a single LiPo 3.7V Cell to power this badge. It also has a micro USB connector so you can power it directly from your power-bank with a micro USB cable.

You will get a ready to use a badge with all required parts soldered and a preprogrammed ATTINY85 chip.
