Good quality price

For Programmable GPS trained frequency standard

I had some problems at the beginning, I contacted the supplier and with his assistance we have solved, all in all the product for its low cost makes perfectly its function as a programmable reference generator with GPS, from the tests I did the antenna must be placed in the outside where it can receive the largest number of satellites to have a better stability of the signal, lacking documentation for its use I can say this !!

All in all, the product works properly and if you have any problems, the seller will respond in a short time.

Indeed I have to admit the insufficient documentation regarding details about GPS module setting. This item is almost "software defined signal generator" and I will try to improve documents. Thank you!

Instrucctions of how to set it up properly

For ESP32 Audio developing board (ESP32-ADB)

Hi,

I received the ESP-32 Rev 2. Shipemnt was OK and it has included a litle origami. Many thanks.

I have just powered it on and I see the first screen at the OLED display:

ESP32
PCM5012 BT speaker
my device name is hogehoge_mont
Yeah! Speaker!


But I do not know and I was not able to find out clear instructions of how to proceed to have it working.
This is my first experience with ESP32 so I´m not sure what I´m missing.
I will appreciate more details. Thanks

After finishing it, please copy the source code by

and execute "make menuconfig" and set your SSID and password will make your board into web radio.

Better than expected

For Nutube based 15Wx2 amplifier KIT with Class-D amp

Received it today by Post. Very compact but really good quality! I do not have "hum" sound.
Save me much space and solved the "hum" problem with this tiny Nutube AMP!~

Enhanced NuTube

For Nutube amp kit, a vacuum tube in new century REV2

For nostalgic reasons I found myself considering to add a vacuum tube amplifier or radio to my small desktop. As Radio Amateur I have now ended up using SDRs and computers and there is no sign of the cool colours and clear sound asociated with tubes. But never did it because of the bulky size and strong heating of this equipments

So, when I first saw NuTube it was a "love at frist sight" ;-)
Ordered the Kit and got it in less than two weeks. Carefully packaged and including two origami figures. Thank you !
With the tube in hand I found a suitable plastic box and milled a window to watch the tube in light. The idea was not only enjoying a nice audio but also "watching" the colours of a real tube. Used double side adhesive foam to fix the tube to the plastic front of the case

The sound is great. I use it connected to a Roland USB and a pair of AKG headphones. There are microphonics if you tap the case, but even this
sound like a glass bell and I love it. The audio difference is remarkable but hard to be described by words. Using a Perseus SDR receiving AM
broadcast stations it resembles the best of both words, digital SDR technology and analog audio with tube flavour

But there was still something I was not satisfied about: The tube colour
The green phospore pads are too cold and there is no such a warm red from an ignited filament. Fortunately, Nutube back side is partially clear and lets light run across the tube from back to front. So, with the help of some leds which I wrongly ordered as "red" but discovered they were really orange, I assembled a kind of backlight using six 0805 leds in series

The result is perfect ! Have a look :-)

Now this really looks like a vacuum tube. A very special one, with the green pads over a nice orange red from a filament which also produces a deep sensation as the inner of the case gets iluminated. Different game ! Will be a "must" for future Körg amplifiers, hi hi

Thank you for wonderful review and beautiful modification for very warm colour illumination! I've checked your picture and really impressed by warm LED colour on Nutube. As pointed out, Nutube's illumination has some "cold" green colour but additional warm colour can greatly delight its existence. Wonderful and thank you so much!!

Nice product, but ..

For ESP32 Monster board, Ether, CAN, OLED all in one

The ESP32 Monster board is pretty nice and has a lot of features, but.... First, the device requires a 3.7V battery to operate. I can't use one of the millions of 5V micro USB power supplies that I have. So, the entry to using the device is having to buy a 3.7V batter and charger. Just searching Amazon for a 3.7v power supply doesn't yield much in the way of these types of power supplies with the required connector. The product really needs either to be powered by a 5V micro-USB connector or barrel connector. I don't like the layout of the PCB with the ESP32 on the bottom of the board. Increase the PCB to place the ESP32 on the top with the other components. Third, there are no mounting holes to place stand-offs or stack it with other devices. Not having any mounting holes and the ESP32 on the board means resting the board/ESP32 against the surface which isn't ideal.

YES, right. Indeed ESP32 Monster board rapidly evolved from tiny prototyping board (original is ESP32 dev board with OLED, which has just OLED and Lipo circuit, that's all) to the current full featured state. During this evolution, the mounting hole was not, actually, taken into consideration, but as pointed out, for stable and continuous usage, supporting stand is indispensable. Also the power issue (works with Lipo) and ESP32 module arrangement are due to its original design. My very recent series (mainly audio DAC related items) gained the solution (enable/disable Lipo circuit, which enables to use board just by USB bus power) and I need to include this improvement also for ESP32 Monster board.

But I am very happy to see your satisfaction of basic concept of ESP32 Monster board, except for ESP32 module arrangement flavor and mounting hole, and power supply preference.

Performs exactly as advertised

For Piezoelectric micro AIR blower

Not the strongest blower in the world, but it works exactly as advertised. Easy to set up, and operate. If this ran off a 5V USB it may be more accessible.

Thank you for review! 5V operation is really good suggestion. Indeed 5V operation is possible by voltage booster adjustment. Just replace R8 with 70kOhms will reduce boost up voltage and will work for 5V power supply. But I may add 5V option for the item! Thank you for good suggestion!!

DSP AM-FM-SW radio

For DSP radio version 3

Product is well built, but the rotary encoder used is a let down as the frequency gets reset if not rotated properly. There is a play in the shaft of the encoder which makes it shift sideways when rotated leading to unintentional resetting of frequency. It is very frustrating to retune the band to the desired frequency. This is true even if used with the tuning knob which is part of the supplied accessory.
I am also unable to tune into any MW and SW stations (used a 20ft long wire as antenna hanging outside the window). This may be because I am using supply from the phone charger which is generating a lot of noise as I do not have a male pin for the battery input (would have been nice if it had been included in the package).

Cell phone charger with USB terminal and mobile battery with USB terminal usage is out of my design supposition. LiPo (3.7V single cell ) battery is one of a member in order to work this radio correctly. Please get appropriate battery for operation.
