The cube is built with the parts proposed as a kit, see RGB microcube - 9mm side
This cube is easy to solder, but if you are afraid about soldering, somebody else will enjoy the assembly for you. You get a tested cube and in addition a semi-transparent 20mm sphere made of two pieces easy to clip and remove.
Great cube indeed, but there are three problems left:
get a controller with the software primitives - any Arduino board and many others
write or load the demo program - your skill, but we have examples
get a power supply - you know how to get it huge.
