Xbot-Micro is a robot base, quite successful in Switzerland and France. The Xbot-ARF is an Xbot we have tested, then we removed 6 screws and packed it in a strong envelope to lower the international shipping cost and accelerate delivery. Put the screws back (screw driver included and plenty of pictures), add 2 jumper wires and see it move. You are ready to connect and program your dear controller.

We did design many robots over the years; motors and power supply are always the initial design constraints. Arduino cards and most microcontrollers work perfectly at 3-4V, Bo-30 motors have the good size for a robot that carries an Arduino board. A Lipo with its charger circuit avoid the AA battery box and save cost. Notice the wheels and the roller caster are specially designed. The connector is placed to make the wiring toward an Arduino easy, and specially made short jumper wires avoid the usual mess of wires. Admire the look!
You can write your own Arduino software, the motors are wired as on most robots. We propose a real-time library LibX, written in C, fully compatible with Arduino. LibX is a set of state machines called by a fast interrupt - an original concept you will be surprised how compact it is, and in addition it is simple C instructions you can understand and adapt for similar situations.
