I am building an experience to monitor our neighborhood's energy consumption. My goal is to understand how we are using energy and discuss / practice behaviors that save energy. This product is an awesome start for the hardware component. The quality of the design/board are excellent. The documentation is really just the registers discussed in the datasheet. The Arduino library provided works flawlessly. The only challenge I have is with lack of documentation on the importance of setting up the Voltage and Current gain values and how to do this. THis is why I "dinged" the documentation rating a star.

I bought this Product to incorporate into the design of a Solar Powered Water Irrigation System . It was delivered quickly, was well packed and seems to be good quality, although I've yet to use it. My only gripe is the complete absence of documentation . I've contacted the Developer and await a response.
Before I found this home energy monitoring solution I didn't realise it could be done so easily. I was using Thingspeak already for water tank level monitoring and this design fit right into my home monitoring dashboard and Tisham has it setup ready to go wit thingspeak you just need to put in your api key.
I didn't know anything about energy monitor before getting this kit, I had played with Arduino and other IoT solutions before though, so it took a bit of reading into what power factor and real power was, and now I kind of understand it.
The kit was super easy to put together, I ordered the current clamp from china and went with the din rail transformer installed into my power box for a nice clean solution, once I realized the AC reading was need to determine real power.
The graph is really interesting to watch in thingspeak, with it spiking for things like the toaster, Iron and aircon, and surprising the TV doesn't make it go up a great deal at all.
Perfect simple solution, I didn't think a energy monitoring solution could be this simple and integrate into my existing dashboard, but it does and I highly recommend you try it out.

Thanks a lot for the review. It is indeed fun to watch the spikes and troughs and get an appreciation of relative usage of various appliances. I have tested an SSD1306 OLED display and that works as a local display of instant power in addition to the time series on thingspeak.
Received the board in about 12 days from Australia. Nicely packed with static protection as well as the headers soldered. I had a bit of problem hooking it up to an Arduino and reached out to the creator for help. He was extremely helpful with the basic wiring setup as well as helped in setting up a simple low voltage test platform. He also provided complete source code for hooking up the breakout board to an Arduino. Furthermore he assisted with getting the basic board bring up, establishing SPI communication between the Arduino and the ADE breakout board. Response were almost immediate and I am very great full for all the assistance. I strongly recommend this breakout board for anyone who wants to get started with energy monitoring using the ADE7753/63.
