Handy device

For Is it me or is it USB?

When I saw his device it was an instant buy. I have accumulated so many cables and run different hardware workshops where this is incredibly handy. Works great and everybody that has seen it loves it.

It's a perfect little gizmo for what it does. Gonna use it to cull some cables from the herd.

OMG, it could be a necklace or hat brim thing too! Just gotta protect the battery side from human contact.

Plugged in a few cables and discovered one was intermittent and another had a line or two open. So much better than producing wear on an expensive phone port and waiting for it to say slowly, rapidly, and wondering what's going on.

Simply, awesome.

For Is it me or is it USB?

This product is one of those projects I wanted to build for the longest time. But, for $12, why not just get a pre-built module. Maybe you are like me and have a box of USB micro cables that came with various gadgets. A few minutes with this tester will let you know which ones to keep and which to strip for their wires. Any time I have issues with a USB device, I double-check the cable to make sure data and power are connected.

No joke, I liked this board so much, I bought a second. One stays in my box of USB Micro cables and the other on my bench. If you've made it down to the reviews section, you're thinking, "do I really need or want this?" The answer to both is yes. Click 'Add to cart' right now. :)

The right tester at the RIGHT time!

I have drawers full of old USB cables and was having a terrible time figuring out which ones were good. Stumbling into this tester saved the day. It does EXACTLY what it says it will. Thanks for the great product and known "GOOD" cables!!!

Great tool

For Is it me or is it USB?

This is a very useful device! It clearly shows connectivity on each of the four wires in a USB cable. I'm not very concerned about fast charging, but I do hate debugging missing data connections on power only cables when uploading to micro controllers. I was able to quickly weed out the power only ones in my jumble of misc cables. I was also able to identify a flaky cable by noting the LED's flickering when I moved it.

Great USB breakout board

Great idea

I think this is a great little device. I have tons of usb cables that I need to check. I would love to see a version that can check lightning cables!

Really love this pin!

For Hearty Backlit Badge

This pin looks great! I love the pixelated looking outer heart, and the etched anatomical heart where the light shines through looks awesome! Looks even better in person, definitely worth getting. Thinking about ordering a second one so I have one as a pin, and one as an SAO.
