I bought this because there are no open source ultrasound systems available. Ultrasound is an important modality for medical imaging and I want to explore/learn with various elements of a system. This setup allows a lot of flexibility - and Kelu has been great at providing support to get the system up and running.
The module was great at picking up Ultrasound Echoes. The module is highly modular with lots of break out pins very useful for testing. I would recommend using it with a separate ADC e.g https://www.tindie.com/products/kelu124/20msps-adc-cape-for-raspberry-pi/ as the AD7274 is tricky to use directly with a raspberry pi. Kelu124 is super helpful and answered a heap of my ultrasound questions. The github is very useful with heaps of information.
Kelu124 is super helpful and answered a heap of my ultrasound questions and was able to put me in contact with a ultrasound transducer manufacturer. The github is very useful with heaps of information. I purchased in conjunction with ultrasound imaging analog module for a complete ultrasound imaging experience. Make sure you have a solid ground connection as when pulsing will draw a fair amount of current.
