Sound Card For Playback Works Great Mic Input Inoperative!
For MCA Micro Channel Sound Blaster replica
When I purchased the David's Electronics MCA sound card, I was on the understanding not only would it playback sound but also record sound through the microphone input. What I discovered was that the soundcard's microphone's input was not tested and shipped to me with a design bug flaw that was not tested with the MCA version of this card. I wrote the owner David and he admitted he had not tested the microphone input to verify it was operational, which it was not. The conversation went on for months between myself and David. Finally David offered me an ISA version of the card which was not compatable for my IBM PS/2 computer as it was not an MCA card. Unfortuniately many of my messages to David were never replied to solve this issue and to this date the card for sale on Tindie. David finally issued a refund after a number of months as he could not resolve the microphone input failure. David claimed the company who manufactured the circuit boards had the flaw in the circuit board layout.
