I bought this board, hoping to put together a SnapOnAir. Unfortunately, the only documentation on what parts to put on the board are silk-screened on the board itself. A simple Bill Of Materials needed to complete the board would have been 100% better than what I received. Values for some of the discrete components and a few of the ICs are present, but what model switches and some of the ICs are a mystery. Even better than a BOM would be if there were a kit available with all the parts. I'd gladly buy something like that to go with this board.
The board, however, is of very high quality. I can see it lasting for years, once assembled.
The pcb is arrived but the package is no comment. simple envelope not bubble one this very bad for Electronic stuff so i hope is everything ok and not got unseen damage. Next time pls i pay extra for normal package not a simple envelope....
I am a bit desapointed about the product, first because the Schema is not readable. The 4 resistances should have a value of 390Ohm (0603? 0805?) But What about the capacitor???? 10F? 10µF 10nF? 0603? 0805?. The value is absolutely not readable. Is would be simpler just to add a sentence: "Add 4 resistances of... and 1 capacitor of .. in, with reference. I just spend about 20mn to look for this information. The Gitub is not well documented. The seller do not reply to the e-mail. There no clearly documentation to configure it, or at least it very hard to find it. Would it not be more easy to clearely add link to a wiki page or an howto? One things good: Sheeping is fast....
Having a nice cheap LoRa add-on for the pi series is great. However I have a few gripes about the PCB design including lack of pin labelling for screen on i2c bus (there are couple of variants around) and soldermask covering the copper pads on the bottom of the SMA connector footprint. Just small changes for the next rev. Hope I can do more to support your work.
Tnx much for your suggestions. I will make the changes in the next version as you were several to ask. Until this modification, you can solve this with the images we posted with the project, showing the components positions, values and orientation.
