What is it?

Do you know my Nanohub products? They are the smallest USB hubs anywhere. They have a problem, though - you can't just plug in a USB device in the nanohubs. They require you to solder wires to them - they are intended for hacking projects where you probably don't even have space for connectors.

But what if you do have the space for connectors, just not... a big piece of plastic and air around them? That's what the microhub is for. It works great to add USB ports to things like Raspberry Pis or similar computers. And it's a handy little USB hub to just take with you anywhere. It has a hard conformal coating on the electronics side, so it won't short out or damage easily.

New in revision 1!

Whereas the first version had the PCB protruding ever so slightly outside of the stacked USB header, this new revision fits completely underneath the USB header. This means it's gotten 3.5mm less wide and 1.5mm less deep. Electrically, the hub is still exactly the same.
