It is based on a passive multi-section Wilkinson design (3 sections) W3-81-RPSMA model (see full description here 8-Port RF Splitter for WiFi and BT) and has x2 stage LNA (Low Noise Amplifier) circuit implemented at input port. As a result each output port delivers 10dB gain.
Dual model option W3A2-82-RPSMA follows the same design concept as passive dual model W3-82-RPSMA (see full description here Dual 8-Port RF Splitter/Combiner for WiFi and BT) and constructed as two W3A2-81-RPSMA boards mated together in order to achieve compact design footprint.
NOTE: Due to uni-directional nature this design is intended for RX (Receive) applications only and can not be used as RF combiner.
Power Requirements:
Splitter (Passive Part) Characteristics (insertion loss and isolation) - see pictures above.
First Stage LNA (Active Part) Characteristics - see pictures above.
Second Stage LNA (Active Part) Characteristics - see pictures above.
