P2450-SOLO is a single path antenna for WiFi and BlueTooth application. It is purposely designed and perfectly tuned to deliver a solid 4dBi gain in 2.4 - 2.5 GHz frequency band.
The mechanical design of P2450-SOLO antenna allows it to be used as a stand-alone antenna directly attached to WiFi or BT radio appliance or to serve as a building lock for patch array projects.
Nothing is better then a practical test case that demonstrates P2450-SOLO antenna performance and ability. Please refer to the pictures showing a simple test case with Alfa AC dongles (RTL8812AU chipset) with Alfa stock antennas rated as 5dBi gain and our P2450-SOLO antennas side-by-side. Aircrack-ng running on channels #1 and #6 (2412 MHz and 2437 MHz center frequency) clearly indicates superior sensitivity and performance of P2450-SOLO.
It has to be pointed out that patch antenna is a semi-directional radiator using a flat metal strip mounted above a ground plane. Radiation from the back of the antenna is effectively cut off by the ground plane, enhancing forward directionality. This type of antenna is also known as a microstrip antenna.
