You can plug the modem directly into the db25 port of the Commodore serial interface or use a standard serial cable (not provided). You need a 5v micro USB cable to power the modem (not provided).
The Simple Wifi RS232 Modem is a device that connects a computer with an RS232 serial port to a telnet BBS. It does not use an analog phone line but internet through a wifi connection. It behaves like a Hayes dial-up modem, and it is designed and built for old computers.
The Enhanced Commodore 64 RS232 Serial Adapter is a modern remake of the Commodore VIC-1011 interface with UP9600 enhancement to allow baud rates up to 9600 (only when used with Novaterm and Striketerm software).
