Introduction

The Phenakistoscope is an early optical illusion device that uses static images to create the illusion of motion through the principle of persistence of vision.

A traditional phenakistoscope is normally used by a person at a time. Our design allows a few people to view the animation at the same time which should be much more fun.

• 1 x bare JF StroboFun PCB
• 1 x power socket
• 1 x right angle push button switch
• 1 x 3300uF 16V electrolytic capacitor
• 1 x 12K ohms 1/4 W resistor
• 1 x 330 ohms 1/4 W resistor
• 1 x IN4004 diode
• 1 x N-Channel MOSFET 60V 30A
• 1 x 50K ohms potentiometer
• 1 x DC to DC Step-down module
• 1 x 4 pin straight male header
• 2 x 15 pin straight female header
• 2 x IC Socket DIP 16 way
• 2 x L293D IC
