Awesome device, easy installation

For Upsy Desky

Thanks TJ for the awesome little device, great software and docs 👌

Hooked it up to my AU Desky stand up desk and Home Assistant. Can control it via UI or HA Voice (OpenAI powered).

Love that I don't have to disable child lock each time I want to change height now. It bypasses child lock.

Shipping service (asendia) could be better: final mile courier had 12h delay in tracking updates plus it was not saying which courier it actually used. Luckily the device fit into my letterbox and was safe.

Note 1: my unit that I received at the end of July 2025 was on v1.1.1 firmware so no Bluetooth setup was available. Just did it via a USB connection to my win Laptop without any issues.

Note 2: my controll panel on the desk had a 18W charging USB port which I used frequently. Adding the device into the chain made the port to stop charging.

Received the product. INSTANTLY worked. the 3D printed casing is also well done, comes with a sticker on top and a QR code in the verso to the invoice to the instruction. 1. plug it to any usb-c power source so it can be confirmed in HomeAssistant which will detect it instantly. once configured to get onto your wifi, plug it to your desk... and done.

I added its buttons to Homekit bridge and now Siri operates my desk.

About shipping. the tracking via Asendia was difficult: the tracking had a 24h lag. Apparently left Miami to come back to Miam over 4-5 days and no indication whatsoever when it reached an airport or when it was flown to Europe, just "departed Miami". So I waited in limbo trying to plan around the delivery. I wouldn't recommend Asendia.

And thank you for the shipping feedback as well; I try to prioritize low international shipping costs but I guess you do really get what you pay for 😅. I will investigate offering other shipping options that might be a little more expensive but also more reliable.

Exactly what I wanted

For Upsy Desky

I figured I was going to have to develop this myself, but was super happy to find someone had already done it. And done it well!

It was trivial to get the device on my walled-off WiFi network and then poke it with curl. I wanted this so I could automate raising my desk to standing height overnight so that I stand in the morning. I lower the desk around lunchtime, but if I come in the next morning and it's already at sitting height, I'm likely to just sit again. Being able to raise it overnight helps me avoid just taking the easy path.

I printed my enclosure and used the included hardware. Stuck it to the bottom of the desk with some double-sided tape. Made a tiny patch cable to keep it tidy and I'm super happy!

Does what is says and dev is responsive!

For Upsy Desky

Received this product 12 days after ordering and purchased the kit fully assembled. Hooking up to Home Assistant and getting it working was a breeze and documentation is very helpful. Had small firmware bug right out of the gate but was able to fix quickly and the dev was responsive on acknowledging the issue and adding it to the next firmware version.

The 3D-printed case is of okay quality. There is some layer shift and small bridging issues on the case that I received, none of which effect the function of the product.

Overall I am happy with my purchase!
