I wired your module to trigger 2 x 4026 counters to show number of lightning strikes on 2 x 7 segment displays. This was powered by 4 x AA batteries with a 1N4004 in series with the positive lead = 5.3 V.
I also soldered a 1 meter length of hookup wire to the module, & attached it to the window, in an upside down L shape. I then waited for an electrical storm to arrive. Sure enough, the setup detected local & far away lightning strikes with no problem. The counter showed 15 strikes, an excellent result.
I would recommended this module without hesitation, because it works, provided you use an antenna & batteries for a power source.
Great device. Small, with antenna, digital and analog output. I checked with a lighter - buzzer and bright white LED, digital output for alarm, works. Delivery up to 7 business days from the Netherlands to Poland
By varying the length of antenna wire it's possible to adjust the sensitivity. I like having it in the house to listen for the odd EMP switching spikes. Eg, washing machine change of cycle, fridge cycle, lights etc. Also hears lightning and sometimes other switching events from nearby in the neighbourhood. Remarkable device, found some dangerously noisey products in the house too. Has run for over 2 months so far on 3xAA's.
