Worked perfectly! Thank you! Installation was relatively easy on the new 3DS XL, just go slowly! One re-assembly tip: the top-lcd ribbon cable (the right angle connector of the 2 that connects to the back of the motherboard) is GOLD SIDE TOWARDS THE PCB. The rest of the ribbon cables are obvious which direction they go. This was super annoying to fix, since you basically have to completely disassemble to access it.
EDIT: I've now installed this mod in an new3DS XL, new3DS LL, and a regular-sized new3ds. All went smoothly!
