I ordered six of these and realized that I really only needed five, but thought "What the heck, I'll keep one for a spare", assuming that these might only have twice the reliability of the micro switches on my Shapeoko 3xxl. Well it's been some time now, and these sensors are still going strong. They are the perfect solution for a dusty environment because they don't depend on light or mechanical means to work. I would assume they might be a touch less sensitive if they were coated in an inch of dust, but even I am not that messy to allow such a thing to happen!
The holders fit very snugly and the magnets are very strong, but me being a belt and suspenders type of guy, I placed a drop of hot glue on both when I mounted them. I just felt that it was a very easy thing to do for my piece of mind. I was looking at other alternatives up to making my own when I saw this video on YouTube and decided to take a look. The price was very reasonable to the point that I couldn't make my own for less. They arrived very quickly. So quickly that I didn't realize what the package could be until I opened it. I really expected it to take another week.

This is a high quality board. I bought two with the matching breadboards. Very professional board layout and clever, compact design. I will use these for motor and LED PWM control design development. I will certainly buy more in the future, just to have them on hand. Highly recommended!
I bought 6 of the sensors with the bases and magnets at a great price. I have just fitted them to my X-Carve 1000mm and more than happy with them after breaking heaven knows how many micro switches which I got from Inventables. The sensors are well built and fit perfectly into the bases, only one needed a little dab of hot glue to secure it. I did a full strip down of my machine as I wanted to change the wiring to shielded on my stepper motors ( not necessary for the sensors, I had the cable so used it :D ) and fit a new base board with clamping points rather than using double sided tape on the old one as it had a few router tracks in it as I was getting familiar with the machine. Wiring I used was Cat 5 computer cable which has twisted pair wires which helps with interference if you use the standard Inventables spindle, not so important with the De Walt but would advise it anyway. I had built a housing for all the electronics with detachable connectors and an emergency stop button which when I first ran the homing cycle my hand was hovering over!! No need to worry, the sensors all worked first time and the homing is repeatable with unerring accuracy. Worked straight away in Easel and GRBL with no problems at all. Michael Omiccioli was very quick to reply to my emails regarding installation and was very helpful and courteous. In my opinion these sensors are a must have for your CNC, great for homing and even more so for prevention of rail crashes. Do yourself a favour and get yourself some, you won't regret it :D (please note the spelling of favor, I am an Englishman living in the USA and cannot get used to spelling it differently :p )
I have been using these limit switches on my X-Carve for some time now and have been completely satisfied with them. They have worked every time they needed to and I have had no false triggers. I ordered a second set to put on my 3D printer and I am just as pleased . The switches work well and the results are repeatable, which is key. If I need more for another machine I will get them without a doubt.
