I tested this with the Adafruit library and an Arduino Uno. Overall it is a good matrix, but there is room for improvement. This product could set itself apart from the Adafruit/Sparkfun offerings if it included a level shifter board, so that it could be more easily driven by a faster 32-bit processor or a FPGA, which are typically 3.3V devices. The power cable that comes with it has connectors for two panels, which is nice, as it makes it easy to connect a second panel as an upgrade. It would be great to be able to buy this bundled with a power supply.
