What is it?

The "buttons4x0" board is four capacitive touch buttons, each 11 mm in size, on a small PCB for use with breadboards or in a project. You need just a GPIO pin per button. The capacitive touch sensing is done in the microcontroller, using touchio in CircuitPython, my TouchyTouch Arduino library, or other capacitive touch library. And the PCB is horizontally tileable if you need more buttons.

Why did you make it?

I've become pretty good with capacitive touch sensors and I wanted to have a simple set of buttons to test things out. And maybe others will find these useful.

What makes it special?

It's not that special: it's just four copper pads, four 1M resistors, all on a small 2.2" x 0.7" (55.6 mm x 18 mm) PCB. But compared to having flying jumper leads as capacitive touch sensors, it's much more stable and reliable.
