What is it?

It's a kit of an 18650 battery holder for use with Diorama's, Terrain and other tabletop scenery. The Circuit board comes with a neat bracket and screws that allow you to mount to the pack, and easily hot glue to the inside of your terrain piece.

Why did you make it?

I sourced it in my search for a rechargeable battery circuit for my terrain. Typical USB power banks are too big, and occasionally powerdown if you don't pull enough power (for instance, with only a few LED's).

I like this board because it's about the size of a standard USB power bank, but has the switch, the direct pin outputs for both 3.3V and 5V! If you're going to use it only with Conwy Castle boards, I recommend going with the USB connector for an easy life, or for longer battery life, solder 2 pins to the 3.3V output and bring them directly to the Conwy boards battery input pins. If you're using a Wemos D1, use the USB, or if you're space constrained, solder 2 pins to the 5V connector pins and wire wrap from there!

What makes it special?

This circuit board takes an 18650 battery and has 3 kinds of outputs. It also stays on, even if you don't pull a lot of power! (unlike other power banks)

• The board has 3.3V and 5V output pins that will stay on until the battery dies. Perfect for use with an external switch.
• The 5V is boosted from the Batteries 3.7V Nominal voltage.
• The 3.3V is simply regulated down.
• The board also has a switch on the side that controls power to the USB Connector.
• The board has a micro USB-B connector on it to charge the battery easily.
