Input A is always passed through, while input B can be added when engaged. There is an LED indicator for Y mode and the signal is true bypass.
The design is passive aside from the LED indicator, which is powered by a 9V battery (included) or a 9V DC Center-Negative power supply. It can be used without power if the LED is not needed. This was designed and hand-built in Oakland, California.
