What is it?

This is a compact board that lets you wirelessly control TTL smart servos using a Xiao ESP32-S3, QT Py ESP32-S3, or similar microcontrollers. Smart Servos, Microcontrollers and cables are not included.

Getting Started:

1. Attach a Xiao ESP32-S3 or QT Py ESP32-S3 and connect to your smart servos and a power source
2. Upload the WebSocket example from the smart-servo-bridge Arduino library (add router credentials)
3. Use one of the modified python libraries on your desktop to control servos (add ESPs IP address)

The board also works for wired control. As an add-on board, you can develop custom control systems for the servos using Serial, i2c, SPI or keep it all on board for an autonomous robot.

I’ve successfully tested it with:

• Robotis XL430-W250
• Feetech HL3930M
• Waveshare ST3215

It will likely work with other TTL smart servos too (check your servo’s specs).

Why did you make it?

I’m building a battery-powered robot, and I wanted a clean way to run control software on my laptop without any wires running between. This board made that possible — so I figured others might also find it useful.
