Slicky is a do-not-disturb desk light designed to notify your coworkers in the office or your spouse and children in the home that you are either busy and not to be disturbed or available to talk! It aids your productivity, allowing you to work distraction-free until you are ready for interruptions.

How does it work?

Connect Slicky to a standard USB port on your laptop or desktop to turn it on and update your color status. We provide a computer application (downloadable from our website) for Windows and MacOS to change your status/color. Choose from pre-set statuses/colors, including Do Not Disturb (red), Busy (yellow), and Available (green) or create your own! Slicky comes with a magnet on its underside so you can mount it easily to your cubicle or wherever it can get visibility! Note: While we do have all the appropriate certificates for both the Windows and MacOS applications and installers, some company IT departments do not allow any third-party software on their computers. If your IT department limits your computer downloads, please be sure to check with them prior to purchase.

Style Options

WITH PHYSICAL COLOR-CHANGING BUTTON - Slicky can be tapped to cycle through the colors (see video). This is a great option if your IT department doesn't allow any third-party software. Note that the computer application is still required if you want to integrate with Slack. Changing the color by tapping on Slicky does not automatically update your Slack status.

NO PHYSICAL COLOR-CHANGING BUTTON - The computer application is required in order to operate Slicky.

Why did you make it?

We decided to make this because we noticed a problem in the traditional office that led to a decrease in productivity— coworkers would have a question for an employee and ask them while they were in the middle of something. The employee lost their place, and it took a lot of time to get back into a work flow. If the coworker had known the employee was in the middle of something, they could have waited a few minutes until the employee was open to conversations. A simple red light on your Slicky can easily notify those around you that you need to be uninterrupted for the time being.

Slicky can also be integrated with Slack using the GUI (computer application). Once connected, you can automatically set your Slack status when you change your Slicky status/color.

Slicky comes with itself (the light), a usb cable, a downloadable (from our website) computer application to control it, and 2 googly eyes for fun!
