What is it?

The BacKey is a kind of backpack for the MaKey MaKey that makes it easier to work with the awesome functions on the back of the MaKey MaKey by breaking out these functions to alligator clip holes, just like the front of the board has.

With the BacKey for MaKey MaKey you can now access the W, A, S, D, F, G keyboard buttons and easily move the mouse cursor up, down, left and right, as well as perform and left and right clicks, all using alligator clip wires!

It uses four stackable female headers so that you can easily attach it to the MaKey MaKey, and still be able to connect bare wires to the board.

What do you get?

When you order a BacKey, you get one circuit board with four extra long female headers. You have two assembly options to choose from when ordering:

"Assembled" = one circuit board with four headers soldered onto the board for you.
"Bare PCB with headers" = one circuit board and four headers with no soldering done for you.
