What is it?

Conductive finger probe that serves as temporary membrane keypad button for testing without the rubber conductive key sheet on.

Why did you make it?

It's a pain in the butt to use a screwdriver or screwbit to press membrane keypad buttons without the rubber sheet. This wand tool makes my life much easier dealing with Tektronix oscilloscopes with the front bezel (which holds the rubber keypads) off.

The 2nd listing picture showed how I used this wand to press the front panel context menu buttons while the front bezel is off.

What makes it special?

It uses the exact same material as the conductive rubber pads in membrane keys so the wand provide similar experience as original membrane keypress. If you instead used a piece of metal (such as screwdrives) which is near 0 ohms to press the keys at any pressure, very often you'd ended up pressing the key 3+ times in a split second as the hard metal slides through the printed conductive finger pattern, which is highly frustrating.
