What is it?

I designed this LED PCB to light up the cabins of an old sail ship. Cold white light comes from three Osram Duris S5 LEDs. The LEDs are driven by ZXLD1356 LED Driver with approx. 90mA.

Technical Data:

• Dimensions: 40x80mm
• LED Current: 90mA
• Input Voltage: 19V - 24V
• Color Temperature: 5700K
• PCB radius: 5mm
• Mounting holes: 3.2mm

Important:

The LED Driver operates to a voltage of up to 60V. But due to the inductor value and size the voltage should not exceed 27V. With rising input voltage the switching frequency also rises and is at its recomended maximum at 27V.

You could change the current sense resistor to drive the LEDs with higher current.
ILED = 0.2/Rsense

• R3 is the sense resistor (2.2Ohms, 0603)
• R2 is a parallel spare pad (0603) for a sense resistor.
• R1 is a jumper pad (0603) to activate external dimming options at the ADJ pad.
• D2 is a spare pad for a TVS Diode. (DO-214AC)
