What is it?

These electronic shelf labels were used in a store. They contain a nice 1.54 inch three color epaper display, white/black/red, with resolution 152x152 pixels. If you order quantity 1, you get 5 pieces, 2 = 10 pieces, etc.

These tags aren't new, they may show some light cosmetic damage. Programmed with the OpenEPaperLink firmware. For shipments within the EU, the tags include batteries (only when shipped within the EU). But as they are not new, I cannot estimate the life span of them. The tags take CR2450 batteries, they can be found online.

Supply is very limited. When they are sold out, I don't expect to be able to get more stock. As I only have a limited amount of these displays, and I want to make as many people as possible happy to get one or two, the unit price will go up if you order more than two at a time. My apologies for that.

What can I do with it?

The tags are ready to be used with the OpenEpaperLink system. If you're just starting with OpenEPaperLink, you'll need an Access Point too. You can buy a kit to make an Access Point here, or you can make one yourself.

Another possibility is to repurpose the bare epaper display. It is compatible with the SSD1619A driver chip. It takes some careful work to split the display from the pcb without braking the glass (it is glued with double sided tape). I also sell a driver board separately.

Great product as described and working great

Bought these with the v3 access point kit and although assembling the access point was very fiddly, would have been easier if 1206 size LEDs had been used.
Delivery was very quick and I'm very pleased with the whole purchase and I will be buying more

Thanks for your feedback! In the latest pcb batch, I changed the footprint of the LEDs to 0805 instead of 0603, so in future orders they will be a bit easier to mount. :-)
