Good product

Good product, the max problem are the pin to solder on board, was missing, so keep same from wemos or need to buy, no instructions, i saw from product pictures and hope no broken it, a the end the board sound good, I had test until now only with servo, I hope it's good too with strip led and both.

Hello, you should have received the stacking headers together with the device, as on the photo. If you didn't, then it's a packaging error and you should contact me through Tindie with your order number.

So glad I discovered this WeMOS D1 servo shield!!

My grandson (6 yrs old) and I are planning on playing with servos and since I had a couple WeMOS D1, I went looking for a shield and discovered this one. Now I live in the US and I know international shipping can take some time, and this did. I waited a month and it never showed.

The day before I was going to email Deshipu, I got an email from him asking if I had recieved the boards yet (wow!!). When I told him I hadn't he asked me to send him the order number and he would ship out replacements. I offered to pay, but he would't hear of it. Wouldn't you know it, two days later I go out to the mail and there was the package. Fortunately I was able to email Deshipu before he mailed out the replacements.

Soldering the headers was a piece of cake. I downloaded the recommended library (you can find them in the documentation) connected the board to the WeMOS, attached a servo and ran one of teh sample programs and the servo started moving.

My grandson wants to set up sone 'spy' traps so the idea is to have a PIR on another WeMOS checking the hall. The WeMOS with the server will be on the ceiling with the servo holding some confetti. When someone goes by, the PIR will send a signal and the servo will open dropping the confetti (originally he wanted to drop something much heavier, but I talked him out of that idea - phew)

I was very impressed with Deshipu checking up on me before I had to contact him and being ready to ship off replacements. If only all businesses would run this way.

I highly recommend doing business with him.

a very nice add-on for WeMOS D1 mini for building robots

The servo shields arrived in a short time (a couple of days), nicely packaged and all in good shape. I solder the headers, and start using it based on the very good documentation. It works as advertised. I've soldered two header-pins in the (external) power-holes for easy connecting external power supply.

The reason(s) I bought it, is that I like the small WeMOS D1 mini boards (I have a couple of them with some shields). I'll like to use the servo shield to build a small robot: body with moving arms, head turning on top of body and led-matrices as "eyes". My purpose is to investigate what may make the robot "social". I 'm try to use MicroPython instead of Arduino C/C++ (also for educational purposes). There is a driver for the PCA9685-chip used in the shield (see GitHub of Adafruit) and it works flawless. I'm still busy to setup the robot, so, I can't say yet if it will succeed.

I've read about "deshipu" in the WeMOS forum (and seen/used some work of him from GitHub) and was quite impressed. It was a nice surprise to see him on Tindie. I had no hesitating to buy from you.

After buying the shields, the owner "deshipu" sends me a message, politely asking what my intention was. Nice to see such an interest from the owner!

Would I recommend "deshipu" and his products to friends? Definitely YES.
