Manufactured by AMS, the TMD2772 provides digital ambient light sensing (ALS), a complete proximity detection system, and digital interface logic.
The ALS enhancements include a reduced-gain mode that extends the operating range in sunlight. Proximity detection includes improved signal-to-noise performance and more accurate factory calibration.
The TMD2772 ALS is based on the AMS-patented dual-diode technology that enables accurate results and approximates human eye response to light intensity under a variety of lighting conditions. The proximity detection system includes an LED driver and an IR LED, which is factory trimmed to eliminate the need for end-equipment calibration due to component variations.
The TMD2772 applications include:
display backlight control, industrial process control, medical diagnostics, printer paper alignment, etc. All I²C Mini Modules are designed to operate at 5VDC. This Mini Module includes on-board power regulation and PCA9306 I²C level shifting circuitry to adapt to our 5V I²C standard. Using a convenient 4-Pin plug, devices can be daisy-chained onto the I²C Bus, eliminating the need for soldering. Plug together all the pieces you need for your next automation application.
Pull-up resistors are included with all ControlEverything.com master devices. If you are wiring in your own I²C port, on-board 4.7K jumper-selectable pull-up resistors are available for convenience purposes.
