The Breadbox makes enclosing your DIY electronics project simple and fast. The design features open sides to make working on the breadboard easy, and a gland seal in the bottom to pass your wiring through, reducing the need for lots of modifications required with other sealed enclosures.
Construction/Features: The Breadbox enclosure is 3-D printed in durable ABS, and features a rubber foam seal between the base and cover for a water and dust tight seal. The bottom of the enclosure features a glad seal that accepts 0.35" TO 0.55" wire.
The enclosure comes with two 1/2 sized breadboards installed, and a lens so an LED can be viewed from outside the enclosure.
History: So why not use just an off-the-shelf enclosure? Most of my DIY projects live outdoors, so for the past few years I have been trying to find a weather resistant enclosure that I can use for my projects. But I always run into the same problems, I can never find one the right size for a breadboard, and they require a lot of modifications (cutting/drilling) to get what I need. Also, once my breadboard is mounted inside the enclosure, it is hard to work on because the sides are not open.
That is why I created the Breadbox, to quickly and easily create a professional looking prototype. The open sides makes working on the circuit easy, and the wiring seal makes it easy to hook-up power, sensors, and outputs.
