The ESP32 D1 Mini case also features a substantial cutout for well-endowed Micro USB cable's connectors.
I was approached by someone after publishing a blog on building ESPresense Base Stations wondering how they could get some ESP32 cases if they did not have access to a 3D-printer.
I made a couple suggestions about places that might have a 3D-printer that they could use to print the cases (library, makerspace, etc...) but couldn't find anybody selling something similar, so I thought I would try and fill that niche.
I almost exclusively print with eSun PLA+. If there's a color of filament that I can add to my collection that'll lead to more people making purchases, I'm open to buying it! Send my store a message on Tindie with your preference and I'll see what I can do!
Accessibility is what makes this ESP32 D1 Mini case special. Not everybody has access to a 3D-printer. Others may not want to take the time to download the free design, and then tinker with their printer to get it to print properly.
