This is a two channel CAN bus bridge with advanced configurable functions to control and modify the passing through packets:
packet filtering by CAN ID mask matching,
baudrate up and down conversion,
bitwise modification of CAN data controlled by mask matching conditions (for ID and data)
Device configuration performed via USB using simple Windows GUI software tool.
This device might be a useful tool to debug and develop CAN systems in various situations. One application scenario is to connect the bridge between your device and CAN network. This will easily block some traffic from the CAN network to the device under the debug for diagnosing of FIFO overflow and other related problems. If your device is providing some status bits in CAN data packets, you can modify these bits without needing to reprogram your device. You can also extend your CAN wire length by downconverting the baudrate. Obviously there are many more application patterns…
