This is a simple tiny op-amp buffer designed to buffer Plessey EPIC sensor input to an ADC. It is a summing amplifier to convert a -3.3-3.3V (provided by an outside bipolar power supply) swing output from the EPIC Sensor to 0-3.3V that is compatible with most common ADC. In addition, it provides a low Q Sallen-Key low pass filter at 1KHz to help remove some harmonics.
This board is experimental and additional components and filtering may be required for a good signal.
Fyber Labs is experimenting with Plessey EPIC sensors and required decent buffering of their output. We recommend utilizing it with the Plessey EPIC Contact Sensors or the Plessey EPIC Contactless Sensors.
There are no other break out boards available to buffer Plessey EPIC sensors.
