Plessey EPIC Sensors are a high impedance capacitive coupling electrode and amplifier combined for monitoring bio-electric signals such as motion, heart rate, ECG, EEG, EMG, etc or other weak electric potentials.

These sensors are very noise sensitive.
Requires a bipolar power supply such as our USB BiPower OTG Flex Module. Our ExG Notch Flex Module or ECG ADC Buffer Flex Module can be used to interface with a microcontroller. It will also require at least an additional well designed notch filter to remove ambient 50 or 60 Hz AC noise. Monitoring specific bio-signals is dependent on body placement, filtering, and circuit configuration.
The PS252XX series are contact based sensors and the PS254XX are non-contact based sensors. Please refer to datasheet or Plessey documentation for more information.
