An antivandal button is a high-quality button enclosed in chrome-plated metal, making it very durable and able to withstand the elements (IP65 - Totally protected against dust, protected against low pressure jets of water from all directions). When installed, these buttons are very hard to tamper with. The tapered edge doesn't allow for prying and the washer holds the button firmly in place. Strong, repeated presses do not cause any damage to it.
None of the available antivandal buttons offer RGB LEDs, which lead me to make a special add-on board with a very bright LED.
It enables you to show various states of a device by flashing or fading various color combinations. For example Red can be flashed to show errors, Green for ready, Blue for wireless connection. By connecting the 3 wires and ground to a microcontroller with PWM, it is possible to mix up to around 16 million various colors. The momentary button can control various functions by pressing it.
The attached video doesn't do the LED colors justice. The camera can't capture the true color depth and RED looks yellowed towards the center.
