The Teensy Guitar Audio (TGA) series from Blackaddr Audio is a stereo-sound capable audio shield designed specifically for guitar that works with the popular Teensy 3 range of Arduino compatible boards (3.2/3.5/3.6), as well as the Arduino IDE development tools.
On board guitar preamp provides high impedance (Hi-Z) with switchable 0dB/12dB boost.

Arduino/Teensy software libraries provide easy-to-use drivers for audio processing, USB audio, MIDI, SPI and more.
ADDITIONAL RAM: Please note the RAM chips provide extra storage via the Teensy SPI peripherals. They can be used for external storage of data, for example longer audio delays. They do not increase program memory. The first memory chip works with all Teensy 3.X models. Second memory chip requires pins only on theTeensy 3.5/3.6

The Teensy Guitar Audio series specifically addresses the challenges of directly connecting a guitar:
Supports input of mono or stereo pickup/pedal configurations.
Instruments with passive pickups need to be connected to a high-impedance input stage as provided by the onboard preamp.
Guitars have a wide range of signal levels ranging from 20 mV on vintage single-coils to several volts when using active pickups or 9V guitar pedals. TGA’s preamp is powered off 9V, just like a guitar pedal so there is plenty of headroom.
switchable 0dB/+12dB of gain at the first stage preamp, and an additional software programmable +12dB to -34.5dB of gain/attenuation from the audio DSPs internal preamp (before digitialization). This ensures you can find the ideal preamp settings for plugging a guitar straight in, chaining pedals or even amp effect loops!
all analog supplies are generated from the Teensy board using linear regulators.
TGA includes protection diodes between the preamp and ADC to provide additional over-voltage protection.
