This is an RC Servo/BESC Spindle control CNC I/O Module designed for use with the 6 Pack Universal CNC Controller. It has (4) separate channels to control RC Servos and BESC devices. These device use a special PWM signal.
Grbl_ESP32 has robust support for RC servos. They can be used on any axes and are coordinated with stepper motors. They have limited range and accuracy, but they work well in many applications. The rotation is mapped to range on the axis. The rotation range may represent 0mm-20mm on an axis, for example. They are often used to lift pens an drawing machines or activate probes, dust shoes, etc. This is all under precise control of the gcode.
BESCs are Brushless Electronic Speed Controllers. These are the super fast, powerful and inexpensive motors used on RC planes, cars and drones. They are becoming popular as motors for spindles. Grbl_ESP32 supports this and converts gcode spindle commands into BESC values.
Servos can draw a lot of current, so there is a switch to supply current from an external source or the internal 5V.
Note: The 12 pin header connector will need to be soldered to the bottom side by the user.
