Andrews & Arnold Ltd are a UK based communications company. We sell internet, telephone, SMS, and make some serious industry routers (FireBrick).

We use a lot of open source, and give back with a lot of open source work. As part of that, we have a lot of open source PCB designs, which we make to sell to hobbyists as development boards here.

Impressive

For High quality audio recorder dev board (updated)

Wow! First and foremost, the quality that those little I2S mics can muster is quite simply astounding and this, combined with such a thorough and diverse feature-set (including automatic upload), makes for a very handy little device. The setup workflow and web config interface are excellently implemented too, providing access to all manner of additional (metaphorical) bells and whistles. Next steps will to get a battery and design and print a case for this. Thank you!

Works well

For Faikin: Alternative WiFi Daikin air-con controller

Everything works as advertised. Being an open source project, documentation was a little bit patchy. I got two units talking to Home Assistant without too much trouble. Very good value for money.

A thing of beauty!

For 7.5" E-paper & controller, 24 LEDs, SD card slot

The design of this board is so elegant that it should be on display itself!!

Extremely good support from the maker, and super-fast delivery.

The maker has clearly labelled all the GPIOs making it a breeze to understand. Seriously, this board has it all! USB x 2, inputs and outputs (including relay drive), dedicated power input - all with wago connectors, LEDs x 24, SD card and of course, an e-paper interface. I look at as a sort of ‘swiss-army’ knife board built for an ESP32.

The stock firmware has some very useful features such as WiFi QR code generation, image display, SNMP uptime, clocks (including TTG), and what day different bins go out. As a bonus, if you use ESPhome, then anything is possible.

What am I using it for? Currently I have one driving a Waveshare 7.5” e-paper screen, which the maker pairs in this bundle - a lovely Waveshare laminated black edge variant screen – simply the best; this displaying live data feeds from both a personal weather station and air source heat pump via ESPhome and MQTT, and another telling me what day the bins go out, sunrise, time and a constantly updated image of interest.

The possibilities are endless…..a fantastic board!

Superb piece of kit!

For Illuminated coaster development board

Extremely good support from the maker, and super-fast delivery.

It is clear that a lot of thought went into the design – being both simple and elegant. The board is very responsive to sound (gain can be adjusted in software), and lights up beautifully when you place a cup on it; the lighting patterns are fully configurable and can be timer-event controlled. As a bonus, if you have Home Assistant it interfaces perfectly with that (via MQTT) as well.

What am I using it for? It flashes every time I put my coffee cup on it, and then gradually lights up with caffeine intake each day – a sort of 'caffeine-overload' real-time warning, using the bargraph function, and vibration sensing.

The possibilities are endless…..

Perfect LED controller.

For Tiny sound reactive LED strip controller (USB-C)

Fantastic LED controller. Works both with the standard RevK firmware or WLED. Includes audio reactive abilities and has no problems controlling LED strips. Powered with USB-C which makes it perfect for a multitude of applications. The RevK firmware and WLED both hook into HomeAssistant and have their own Web UI making them simple to use from any device.
