Great Product and Exceptional Support

For 10 MHz Oscillator TCXO 10 MHz +/- 0.28 ppm

I purchased this as a clock source for a portable frequency meter / counter. It is small and compact. Runs on USB or a voltage supply between 5 and 10 VDC. Frequency is spot on. I reached out to the seller several times to discuss appropriate techniques to drive a TTL chip. Response was almost immediate and very useful suggestions were offered. I would definitely purchase from GPIO again.

Works very well

For Hydrogen Line Pre-filtered LNA 1420 MHz

Used the LNA 1420 MHz filter with a SAWBird H1+ 1420 MHz LNA and RTL-SDR dongle v3 to detect 21cm neutral hydrogen in our Milky Way galaxy. The results were a far stronger H1 peek! I recommend using this LNA filter.

Very well filter

For 1420 MHz Bandpass Filter Hydrogen Line Radio Astro

The bandpass filter works very well for my hydrogen line measurements at 1420 Mhz. No interferences any more with the very strong 900 Mhz GSM band. Without this filter, very strong signals in the FFT display. It is also very small.

Run this on all of my general SDRs

For FM Notch Filter 88-108MHz Optimized for Airband

I have the wonderful misfortune of living a few KM from the Sky Tower in Auckland, which is a very tall, high power FM broadcast transmitter, amongst many other things.

This filter helps no end with the massive FM overload I get and therefore has a permanent home on each of my SDRs. I have also used it on a HT with less than favourable filtering/selectivity (RX only, i’m sure you can guess which) to help with the same problem.

Does what it says on the tin

For AIS Pre-Filtered LNA w/BIAS-TEE 160-164MHz; 20dB

I got this to add some front end filtering to my RTL-STR receiver. My maximum noted range immediately went from around 4 miles to around 20. I live in the city with not much elevation so given the noisy environment, basic antenna, quality of the receiver, etc.. this was an excellent improvement.

I haven't tried to make any proper RF performance measurements on it yet, but if/when I do I'll come back to report.

Exactly as described and worked perfectly.

For Mini-circuits LTCC filter design kit (LFCN HFCN)

The circuit boards were exactly as described and of excellent quality. I was able to solder my SMT components without any difficulty. My only issue was the delivery time. I ordered on June 17 and didn't receive my order until July 1st. I highly recommend the circuit boards unless you need them in a hurry.

Recommended : removes FM and harmonics

Removes FM and harmonics with no detectable changes to signals outside the notch.

Nice small form factor as a bonus.

This BP filter has exactly the characteristics announced by the manufacturer,sizes and price are also good. I recommand for purchase.

Recommended

For Low Noise Amplifier 10-3000MHz; Gain>20dB w/ ESD

Just arrived, and I compared against a vanilla SPF5189Z. This is cleaner with a better noise floor with good gain. Nice compact PCB, executed cleanly with some useful features like a USB power connection and LED power indicator. The ESD protection is appreciated, too. The folks at gpio are friendly and responsive.

Astonishing results from city center / 1st floor

For Ultra LNA 0.01-2GHz Gain >20dB NF 0.5 w USB cable

This changed everything for a default antenna put on the balcony of a 1st floor appartment in a city center block (averages 7 floors, very busy area).

Before using this LNA my RTL-SDR detected at most 10 flight beacons with dump1090, now I get at least 50 beacons almost immediately!

I wasn't expecting that much changes, this totally exceeded my expectations :-)

Worked great with my RTL-SDR dongle

For Ultra Low Noise Amplifier 10 MHz to 4000 MHz

Great pre-amp performance with my RTL-SDR (V3) dongle. Didn't expected this much efficiency from this little LNA.

If you're from a noisy environment (like me) then I would suggest to use their FM Notch Filter. Also you may have to tweak the LNA gain from 'input controls' (I'm using GQRX) in case you're input is saturated.

Great Product, Fantastic Seller

For Low Noise Amplifier 10-6000MHz 40dB Gain, 0.8dB NF

I ordered 4 products from GPIO: two different LNAs, the 315 MHz Bandpass and the FM Notch. All products work excellent. I found that using the filters before the LNA work best with the RTL-SDR dongles. Also, the seller was great to work with. I made a mistake with my shipping address, and GPIO was quickly able to help me figure out who to contact to get the package before it was sent back. I highly recommend GPIO and will definitely use them in the future.

Great, tiny preamp!

For Ultra Low Noise Amplifier 10 MHz to 4000 MHz

I am using it as a preamp for a RTL SDR USB dongle. It is so tiny, but works so well! Pulls in ADS-B plane signals and AIS ship signals from much further out.

Ultra Low Noise Amplifier 10-6000MHz w/ 40 dB Gain.

For Low Noise Amplifier 10-6000MHz 40dB Gain, 0.8dB NF

Ultra Low Noise Amplifier 10-6000MHz w/ 40 dB Gain , Tested with HackRF SDR on L-band at 1.5ghz.
Could not get it to function without a Highpass filter before the input set for 1ghz.
So you may need to buy/make/ add filters for the band your interested in listening too.
Seems to work very well with an added filter.... Haven`t tested this amp on HF frequencies yet.
The problem I think maybe to do with the broadbandness of the amp 10mhz -6000mhz .
Would be much much better I think if this device was modified for VHF to 6ghz only for me,
Or Hf to VHF only....Cheers Tony.

Hi Tony, thanks for the review.

Just want to mention that the gain as specified on the product page is between 35 and 45 dB for F < 1.5 GHz. That is a lot of gain. The HackRF receiver is wide open. Coupled with the fact that there are many strong signals (FM for example) in the sub 1-GHz range, you are bound to see receiver saturation when the LNA is used with a broadband antenna.

The LNA that you bought is actually intended for processing weak signals and it is recommended that a filter be used to eliminate strong undesirable signals in the frequency range of the receiver. Without this you will see distortion products in your receiver output.

We do have LNAs with lower gain and covering a smaller frequency range. Check out the Red LNA that operates from 10 MHz to 4 GHz for instance.

915 MHz ISM Band Pass filter

For 915 MHz ISM Band Pass filter; Amateur Radio RFID

It works great. And it's powered by USB. I strong recommend this band pass filter - as well as the 433 MHz and 2.4 GHz band pass filters. I have several them and I use them on a HackRF and RTL dongle.

DIdn't work

For Ultra Low Noise Amplifier 10 MHz to 4000 MHz

There is really nothing much to say, it didn't work straight out of the box, device was shorted. Tried bypassing usb power supply and still dead.

All our LNAs are tested prior to ship. That being said, if you would like a replacement, we're happy to send you one. Also suggest checking the USB cable.

How did you bypass the USB as there are no pads for Power+GND?
