I bought one board, loved it, and bought 3 more. 3 are currently being used as high-efficiency UPSes: one for my server, another for my network closet, and one is in my brother's network closet. The units are rock solid and have never let me down or caused any problem whatsoever. The last board is waiting for me to install panels.
I wish I had discovered this board sooner because I had problems with other (even commercially-available) charge controllers which either were not reliable, or even fried my equipment. Not so with this board.
This board works perfectly, and it handles all the edge cases. Because it works so well, you don't need fancy displays or anything - it just fades out of your consciousness and you never have to think about it. Of course it has all the data and you can access that through serial. For those who like eyeball things regularly, the single LED conveys: panel status, charge/discharge mode, etc.
Thanks so much for making this superb solar charge controller! Your path to making it, shared on hack-a-day, was inspiring. I hope others will aspire to this level of quality.
