Excellent kit and documentation!

For Glitch Works R6501Q/R6511Q Single Board Computer

This is a great example of a kit done well. A lot of thought has clearly gone into the board design, packaging and instructions to make assembly go smoothly. I built mine in about 90 minutes, including troubleshooting to find the one pad that I forgot to solder that prevented it from booting on my first attempt. If you've never built a computer from the PCB up before, this one makes for a solid start!

Simple and effective

For GW-1687-5 Dallas DS1687-5 Maintainable Replacement

This replacement RTC unit works well. I couldn't ask for more. This will be much easier for long term maintenance & allow battery-less storage.

Works in a VAXstation 4000/VLC

For GW-12887-1 Dallas DS12887 RTC Replacement Module

I bought one to replace the DS1287A in my VAXstation 4000/VLC. It works great! The DS1287A in the 4000/VLC is socketed so the replacement was quick and easy.

Happy IBM 5150 owner

For Lot of 10 NOS Athana DSDD 360K 5.25" Floppy Disks

The 5.25" floppy disks arrived on time. They all format properly, no bad sectors. Unfortunately the labels supplied don't stick very well, but tape or glue solves that problem. Thanks!

Works like a charm

For Glitch Works XT-IDE rev 4B

I use this controller in my older 8088 pc from Philips. The soldering part was fun and the installation very easy.

I did a test with my older 1.6 gig harddisk and it work like a charm. Even my older seagate 40mb at ide works.

Cf cards however is a bit more hassle, you need the proper adapter or it wont show after a reboot (crtl-alt-del) and then you are stuk on waiting. And let's face it, there a so many different cf types, so a few not working won't matter.

Great product, good value!

I would love to see more l
products like this. Maybe an Adlib card for those "Commander Keen" games :-), sound blaster is way to new :-D

Nicely made replacement for the Dallas chips, worked great!

For GW-12887-1 Dallas DS12887 RTC Replacement Module

I installed this in a vintage DEC AlphaServer 1000a 5/333 in place of the original Dallas 1287.
It seems to be working fine, caused no errors, and the computer holds settings during power off and unplug.

Great replacement for old Dallas clock chip

The best product that I bought over the past 2 years

For Glitch Works XT-IDE rev 4B

I really do recommend the product and also the seller which whom the communication was very good.
The kit once assembled is working as it should, no surprise. What a dream to be able to hooked up an IDE HDD to my old XT computer.
The kit is quite easy to assemble as long as you have a minimum of experience in welding.
I've got no documentation with the kit but it is easily to fin on the web. Again, a minimum of good sense is required.
So one word for me : PERFECT
And thank you to still develop such a device nowadays.
