What is it?

This is a Raspberry Pi powered FM Transmitter that allows you to play your favorite songs directly from your car stereo. It became viral on Instagram because of its use as a real-life GTA Radio that plays all radio stations from all 3D games. Note that no music is included and has to be put on the included SD card.

Why did I make it?

I created this to have a special way of listening to GTA radio stations in my car radio, without the need for my phone. Despite creating this only as a hobby project, the positive feedback motivated me to sell a small amount of handcrafted ones.

What makes it special?

It allows the user to recreate the feeling of their favorite in-game radios inside their actual car.

This is a DIY project. There may be bugs in the software, and it isn’t on par with factory-produced products. There are no music or image files included. Everything has to be put onto the included SD card. Remember to turn off the device before unplugging to avoid system errors. Remember to unplug the device if your cigarette lighter port is always powered, to avoid draining the car battery.
