Read More…This isn’t just another antenna. It’s a tool for hackers, experimenters, and DIY enthusiasts who want high-performance RF reception without the complexity. The GA800 is built for those who like to tinker, modify, and push the limits of what’s possible in radio reception. Whether you’re an SDR newbie or a seasoned shortwave veteran, this antenna brings clearer, stronger signals with minimal setup and maximum fun.
The GA800 is a wideband active loop antenna that delivers low-noise reception across a massive frequency range of 10kHz to 159MHz. It's built for SDR enthusiasts, shortwave listeners, radio hackers, and anyone who needs a portable, high-gain solution for capturing clean RF signals. Whether you're into HF bands, AM, FM, or aviation frequencies, this antenna will give you the ability to listen with unparalleled clarity, while suppressing urban interference.
We know the pain of poor indoor antennas. High noise levels, poor gain, and the constant frustration of re-tuning. The GA800 was born out of the need for a no-compromise solution for DIYers and radio aficionados who:
Want to work across a wide frequency range without constantly fiddling with settings.
Are tired of receiving more interference than actual signal.
Need a low-power, high-performance solution for both portable and stationary setups.
The GA800 solves these problems by combining smart signal amplification and advanced noise suppression into one easy-to-use package.
Wideband Coverage (10kHz to 159MHz):
From long-wave to VHF, this loop antenna picks up everything — shortwave, AM, FM, aviation bands, even UHF. No tuning needed. Plug and play.
Active Amplification & Noise Suppression:
Built-in signal amplifier boosts weak signals, while the noise suppression circuit actively filters out unwanted interference. The GA800 reduces noise by up to 20% more than the previous GA450 model — because no one wants to hear a bunch of buzzing on their favorite band.
Split Design for Optimal Placement:
Want the antenna outside, but don’t want the control box getting wet? The split design allows you to run the loop outdoors and keep the control unit indoors for a cleaner signal. Just run the feedline (included) through your window or wall.
User-Friendly Power Supply:
Powered by a 2600mAh 18650 lithium battery, or plug it into any 5V USB Type-C port for easy charging. This power flexibility makes it perfect for portable setups or fixed installations.
No-Fuss Setup:
Whether you’re in a DIY shack or a home office, the GA800 doesn’t require extensive calibration. Simply connect the antenna, hook up your receiver or SDR, and you’re good to go. It's designed to minimize complexity while maximizing performance.
Portable, Robust, and DIY-Friendly:
The compact size (loop diameter of 26cm/10.2") makes it easy to mount in various configurations. Whether you're attaching it to a pole, hanging it on a wall, or placing it on a table, the GA800 is designed to fit seamlessly into your space and work with your DIY project needs.
Frequency Range: 10kHz – 159MHz (wideband HF & VHF/UHF reception)
Loop Diameter: 26cm (10.2")
Impedance: 50 Ohms
Gain: 20dB Max (active)
Power Input: 5V/1A via USB Type-C
Battery: Built-in 2600mAh 18650 lithium (replaceable)
Operating Temp: -10°C to +60°C
Control Box Size: 107 x 65 x 26mm (4.2" x 2.6" x 1")
Charging: Built-in battery protection prevents overcharge/discharge. Auto-shuts off below 2.5V.
1× GA800 Active Loop Antenna + Control Box
1× 5m BNC Feedline (16.4ft)
2× Output Cables (BNC-3.5mm & BNC-BNC, 1m each)
1× BNC to SMA Adapter
1× USB Type-C Charging Cable
1× User Manual (straightforward and geek-friendly)
Outdoor Installation: Mount the loop outdoors on a mast or pole for best performance. The idea is to get it up and away from structures to reduce interference.
Power OFF for FM/UHF/VHF: If you’re tuning in higher frequencies (FM, aviation, etc.), turn the power off — the loop will function passively for cleaner reception.
Power ON for HF/Shortwave: Turn the power on for maximum signal amplification (20dB). This is where the GA800 really shines for shortwave enthusiasts.
Protection: The loop itself is not waterproof, so if you're mounting it outside long-term, protect it from the elements.
No Mast Included: The antenna mast or pole must be purchased separately.
