What is it?

This design is a upgraded version of the VALTRACK series of vehicle tracking devices. It has been upgraded to support 4G-LTE-CAT1/2G networks all over the globe for cellular connectivity and Bluetooth 5 & WiFi using the Espressif ESP32-C3 chipset.

VALTRACK-V4-VTS comes with multiple options, Asian version(A7672S), European version(A7672E) and South American (A7672SA)version.

You can write your own firmware using Arduino/VS Code and ESP-IDF

Operating Voltage :

• Main Power Input : 12V to 42V DC to be connected to 12V Lead Acid Battery. (Has Reverse Polarity Protection)
• Backup Battery Input : 3.7V to 4.2V DC to be connected to a single cell 3.7V-4.2V Li-Po or Li-Ion Battery. (Doesn't have Reverse Polarity Protection) (Battery is not included due to hazardous goods shipping restrictions)
• MP2617 Charger chip is used to handle the battery charging.

Default Location :

• A7672x inbuilt GNSS with onboard passive patch antenna External Antenna

• External antenna needs a bias resistor to be soldered, and on board passive antenna has to be disconnected, so choose the one need and inform us when placing order.

Getting Started

Inserting the SIM card

• Get a Nano-SIM card and insert it into the boards push-pull type SIM card slot. [Power should not be connected to the device during SIM card insertion]

LED Indicators Three WS2812B-2020 are provided for battery, network, and location indications.

Firmware

• Getting started firmware with all initializations done is available. You can build on top of it.
