I designed this board to help with my OpenAutoPro install, which is an automotive head unit based around the Raspberry Pi. This board augments the Pi, allowing easy interfacing to a car, or any 12V based system! (Boat, Truck, Simulator Rig etc!)
PLEASE NOTE: Whilst I will try my best to help you utilize all of the functionality of your CarPiHAT, I am not a software developer and I cannot help with custom software.
The board follows the standard HAT format, including an EEPROM for autoconfiguration of some of the device tree overlays.
All connections are made using robust, latching, Molex nanofit connectors. The board has the following features:
The following pins are kept free, theoretically allowing the use of a DAC:
BCM5 BCM6 BCM15 BCM16 BCM18 BCM19 BCM20 BCM21 BCM26
Please note, this kit does not include any harnesses. Bare pigtails can be found when purchasing a HAT, or shoot me a message if you would like a custom harness produced.
Please check out the GitHub repo below, which contains the documentation for the board, as well as some example configuration info. Again, any questions, feel free to get in touch! By purchasing this board, you agree to the terms and conditions available here, as well as agree to having read and evaluated the documentation above.
