The kit supplies components to build a transistor based logical NAND gate with an indicator LED. The NAND gate design is similiar to that used in TTL circuits. The two input pin connects to the emitter of two steering transistors which feed an output transistor and LED indicator. The fan-out is good which enables the NAND gate to drive multiple other gates.
Combine multiple NAND gates to make, an XOR gate, flip-flop, half-adder, full-adder, logic tester, etc. Details of these experiments can be found in the manual.
I'm interested in retro computing using transistors.
Unlike many transistor gate designs this is similar to TTL based designs.
