Options

If you leave all options blank, you can add in any multiple of $1 charges for any personally organised options for your TEC-1G. Please discuss with me what is required and we will set an appropriate price.

UPS Battery Pack

The latest edition of the TEC-1G pcb has the specific holes drilled as well as a specific battery connection point... But that doesn't mean all the previous versions can't have one. Luckily it uses the top left mounting hole, and two more holes need drilling through the PCB but it is only through the extra copper for the heat sink. So now dodgy re-wiring needed!

It charges using a USB-C port and on a full charge, the TEC-1G can run for a full 6+ hours, with all lights blazing! That's better than your average iPad! :)

In this kit you get the UPS Battery holder, two wire jumpers with JST connectors so you can easily connect and disconnect the battery pack, along with the 3 lots of nylon M3 spacers to secure it all down. Lastly, you will also receive 3 extra nylon spacers for the top right corner of your PCB to keep the whole TEC-1G nicely angled and stable on your desk. The Lithium Batteries can be added as well (I supply 3500mA version), but if you source your own, please ensure to get the "flat top" version that do NOT have the additional protection circuitry in them, as it is not needed (the UPS handles that) and those sort are too tall to fit into the UPS.

64K EPROM

This is the service that provides a fresh blanks 27C512 (64Kx8bit), and optionally burns in the standard 3 ROMs that is provided with a new TEC-1G Kit, containing: MON3, DIAGs and MON-1B

We are now leaving 16K blank to allow your own programs to be burnt in there, or for upcoming upgrades to the Monitor.

We have added the option to donate $1 to Brian Chiha, the developer of MON3.

TEC-1G Replacement Power Switch

The original power switch selected for the TEC-1G was a Double Pole Double Throw (DPDT) horizontal slide switch that was the right size for what we needed, but has proven unreliable. Also, the switch is now unavailable from the AliExpress supplier, so I have come up with this neat solution that I would love to give away for free but Tindie only allows for a minimum of $1, plus freight. I'd suggest you add this in as an extra for any kit you purchase.
