In short it's a small form factor alternative to the much larger TI Launchpads for WiFi prototype applications

Why did you make it?

Needed a powerful/scalable platform for various SmartHome projects. TI SimpleLink WiFi module solution was ideal but no small form factor boards were available from the vendor.

Supports the following TI SimpleLink WiFi Modules

CC3220MODASM2MONR
CC3220MODASF12MONR
CC3235MODASM2MONR
CC3235MODASF12MONR
(available from the TI Store, DigiKey or other electronic distributor)

KEY FEATURES

Based on TI CC32xxMODASx WIFI modules (with PCB antenna)
All application level pins on 0.1" pitch connectors
Lean solution with no excess circuitry
Development and debugging as you would with a TI Launchpad
4-Layer board
Comprehensive power plane layout (on all layers) for optimal signal integrity
User to purchase preferred module etc and reflow solder to board
